Singer of Light

Beneath the glittering cloak of night, a single white wolf lifts its muzzle up to the sky. A long, silvery howl is released from deep within the soul. Its song is so clear and beautiful that it weaves itself into the form of the northern lights. The entire tundra is illuminated by the ethereal curtains that now dance across the heavens.

I completed this picture last week and I am quite pleased with it! One of my friends pointed out to me that this is one of the best drawings I've done so far. I didn't even spend that long on it... well below six hours. That made me happier because it means that my art speed is picking up!

I have another photo with less accurate colors, but I wanted to wait to get this one to look right before posting. It still looks much more beautiful in real life. Many thanks to my boyfriend, ~coladro for photographing this drawing for me!

Materials: Prismacolor colored pencils and acrylic ink on 6"x6" smooth bristol board.
